A graduate of New York University, Stefania is originally from Cali, Colombia but has spent the majority of her life in the U.S., allowing her to become bilingual (English and Spanish). Her passion for her work stems from her growing up with a brother with Down Syndrome in which she had the opportunity to interact with many Speech-Language Pathologists and witness firsthand the profound impact professionals made on both her brother and her family as a whole. Stefania has experience treating the pediatric population with a variety of speech and language disorders and etiologies including, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome. During the course of her career, Stefania has developed a passion for taking a holistic approach to communication. She believes every child deserves an individualized treatment plan using evidence-based approaches while also creating a fun and memorable experience. Stefania also enjoys interacting with people from different backgrounds and learning more about their culture in hopes of better serving our families with cultural differences. During her free time, she loves spending time with her two children, Cassidy and Kevin, and her wonderful husband. She also enjoys working out, training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and binge-watching Netflix shows.
